Aunt Vi's Legacy - Her Stuff

Just so everyone knows,

Kurt passed away in Nov. of 2006, his daughter Christine had the terrible job of sorting out the clutter and Collections of both Kurt and Vi. Their trailer home (a single wide) held over 5000 books as well as lot of small memorabilia and Vi's life long Genealogy Files, as well as the beginnings of her book. They also had a storage unit which was never disturbed since they moved from Wayne.

Dave and I at the request of Chris Karlson made three trips to NJ, to sort things out and retrieve anything of Vi's that was valuable. (mostly nostalgic) We have had this stuff in storage and are just now able to have room to sort them out. It is my hope that I will be able to make some sense of all of this stuff buy Aug. 2nd. I will be glad to take anyone to our storage unit so that you may choose any items of Vi's that you might want.

Her Betsey Ross Collection is also in this mix, I do not want the collection to be broken up, I would love to see it go to the Massey House or any historical society that she was involved with. I am looking for any input that you all may have. Please post your ideas hear for discussion among us!

I have as much of the Genealogical stuff that was salvageable, as there was a broken water pipe which destroyed a lot of her papers. I do not think that I am going to have time to do this justice and want to know if any in the family has a interest in preserving her legacy and continue her work? Aunt Iris's son Tom is very involved in Genealogical research, (he lives in Richmond, VA.
I want to know if anyone objects to my offering this information to him! After all it will remain in the family! I also thought that perhaps the Massey House may be interested in it. I will print out family trees as I find stuff, it may take a while!

I have her old computer hard drive and hope to retrieve both all the genealogy stuff and her book on the calendar change!

If there is something that several people are wanting we will have to put those items in a hat and draw straws!

Hope that sounds fair to all! Please feelf free to email me with any thoughts, requests or ideas!

Joyful Jollies- Christian Cown Troupe

I have an alias it is Naughty Noah! I am a member of the joyful Jollies, it is a part of an international clown ministry. We have been known to invade nursing homes, hospital rooms and the Food Bank's Hunger Walk, as well as the Relay for Life, where we won a trophy for the most spirited group. Our motto was "Clowning for a Cure" we came running out of a huge juggling clowns mouth! There are about 20 of us, in the gtoup

We do silent sermons and Clown Communion (Must be experienced to appreciate!). Our church Riverside United Methodist Church here in EC has a strong Emmaus connection, and it leads to the joy and spirit of the whole congregation! I have pledged to myself, that I will visit the Wesley House ( a respite for families from out of the area who are seriously ill in Albemarle Hospital!) on a regular basis for anyone who is celebrating a birthday! A Balloon and God's Blessing are my gift to them, I receive so much more.

I get such a Joyful feeling when I participate in these events!
